How do I use Major Maps?
The Major Map in your CHSS degree combines three aspects of successful degree completion:
Academic Coursework
Required and recommended courses; highlighted academic experiences including capstone, Honors in the major, and other specialized coursework; and guidance on when to optimally take certain classes.
Career and Professional Preparation
Career fairs, including those dedicated to the major; internships for credit; Career Services resources at specific points in your degree; and career preparation and mentorship courses and events.
Experiences
Student organizations, study abroad opportunities, networking suggestions, lectures and seminars, fellowships, and scholarships for students in the major.
Together, these three elements create an individualized success plan timed out across the first, middle, and final years of your time at Mason that you can use with your academic advisor.
