You are invited to join us in a fun field trip! Deepen your knowledge on issues that impact our local and global communities by directly engaging with community members in meaningful conversations about migration and human rights in the DMV area. This experience is complemented by a visit to the historic landmarks of the National Mall.
Date: Friday, October 24, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM (pick up and drop off location: Fairfax campus, in front of Monroe and Jefferson Hall: 10356-10398 Senatorial Ln, Fairfax, VA 22030)
Destination: Mason Square (FUSE 1327, Arlington campus, lunch and conversations 12:00 PM- 1:30 PM) and National Mall (Washington, D.C. 2:00 PM-4:00 PM)
This field trip offers an opportunity for you to:
- Connect with diverse community groups
- Engage in a respectful and insightful dialogue on human rights challenges related to migration
- Explore collaborative strategies for building a more inclusive and welcoming community
- Explore iconic monuments and memorials
- Discuss the history and legacy behind the National Mall landmarks
- Engage with CHSS RLC peers beyond the classroom
