Research & Internships

Using your time as a student to participate in internships and/or research is one of the most effective ways to become career ready – to develop and demonstrate the skills employers and graduate programs expect. You have limited time, so be strategic about which experiences you choose.

Employers expect new graduates to have six to 12 months of relevant experience, and you will need to complete at least two experiences that work well with your program and support your career goals to get there. More information about what you can do to best prepare yourself for your industry of interest can be found on University Career Services Industry-Specific Resource pages
