Freshman Academic Achievement Award

The Freshman Academic Achievement Award recognizes academically-talented freshmen in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The award is based on first-semester performance. It provides recognition to students who are not in the Honors College.

Recipients of the award are announced in the spring semester.

Each spring, the college holds a reception to recognize the award recipients. The reception showcases the many opportunities for motivated students to challenge themselves during their time at Mason.

Recipients of this award are invited to apply for a Freshman Academic Achievement Scholarship. The most outstanding scholarship recipient is awarded a renewable First-Sweitzer Academic Achievement Scholarship.
